The body of a Scottish businessman has been found days after he vanished in Kenya.

Campbell Scott, 58, had been in the country to attend a conference at the JW Marriot Hotel in Nairobi but disappeared on February 16.

A taxi driver and nightclub waiter have been arrested on suspicion of Mr Scott’s abduction and murder.

Mr Scott, who was born in Dunfermline, was last seen wearing a Scotland rugby shirt and cargo shorts.

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations believe Mr Scott visited a gay bar in the city’s upmarket Westlands area the day before he vanished.

They say he returned there the following day to meet a friend before taking a taxi to Pipeline, one of the largest slums in the city, at around 7pm.

Police think he was held at a house there, most likely while his captors attempted to drain money from his bank account, The Times reports.

Mr Scott’s body was found dumped in a green sack by animal herders in the Makongo forest around 60 miles from the capital on February 22.
